Location and views is the best part of this hotel. The location could not possible be better for restaurant, bars, ferry, and supermarket. Staff were super super kind at the front desk. The first room we arrived to was quite dirty, but we kindly said it to front desk as we thought there was a mix up, and they changed the room straight away with no issues, and were so kind to us during our stay. I wouldn’t even consider looking at other hotels on the island if I was returning, since we know that this one is our favourite and has everything we could need. Amazing value for money. Seems like a 5 star place. Also if you have a sea view room, it’s quite windy, which didn’t bother us, but if you are a very light sleeper you might need to consider it. But the good thing about that was that there was no mosquitos ever on the balcony or in the rooms. Hot water worked fine, one day it didn’t but they helped us straight away. Handy that they give you beach towels too!! We will miss this place so much

Rocamar is an incredible hotel for a fantastic value. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is Room #16. We’ve stayed dozens of places on the island over the past decade and this was our first time to Rocamar. From purchase price, check in, the room (specifically Room #16), location, and checkout.. everything was PERFECT. AC was superior which is critical to have. Room was large with a great bed, balcony, and features inside. Closet space and hangers were greatly appreciated. Bathroom is large with curtains that you can open and close for privacy. Water pressure and temperature were right on target. You get two beach towels at check in - do not lose them. Thought we didn’t use the pool, it was beautiful and would be a lovely place to relax. You can hear the waves crashing at night and it’s lovely. Fresh cold water always located downstairs so just a few steps away from any room. Golf cart (5 spots) + scooter parking (4+ spots) is soooooo nice to have. We loved staying here and will be back in October. Thank you Rocamar!

It’s very close on the ocean and can be terrible loud at night when there is a storm. But the rest was all fine for a 2 star hotel. Rooms are only made on request and if you are lucky. Nothing much to be expected beside its very good location. Wi-Fi was super!

We've been to Isla many times and this was a last minute 5 day trip. Really like the hotel. It overlooks the malacon and having the sliding door open at night was great. Always a nice breeze on the Carribean side. 4 blocks from the ferry and close to Hildago but quiet. One minor complaint and one weird note. Wifi extenders would be money well spent. Signal was okay on the main floor and pool but didn't work on the third floor. Weird note, the Tv is a 13" flat screen and for some reason it's behind plexi glass. No big deal as I don't go to Mexico to watch TV. Hotel is also a block from Super Aki and the in room fridge and freezer easily holds a bag of ice. Private balcony with chairs and a hammock was nice as well.

Fantastic hotel! Amazing views from their oceanfront rooms! On the malecon, located near many restaurants/bars/shopping. Beautiful pool, super clean rooms & budget friendly.

My friend and I loved our stay at Rocamar Hotel. We stayed 4 nights in room 30 (on the 3rd floor). PROS: The location is perfect, the view is unbeatable (especially the sunrise!), the beds were comfortable, the room felt very clean, the staff was very nice, we had no issue checking in 2 hours early and even checking out a little bit after noon, there are 2 water coolers to fill up your water bottles (one next to the lobby and the other on the second floor), we used the coffee machine in the room and found coffee and nestle vanilla creamer in the little common area next to the lobby. The air conditioning worked well. Our fridge wasn't working when we arrived, but we mentioned it to the lobby and to our delight, it was fixed when we returned. CONS: The ceiling above the shower was leaking a tiny bit the first night we arrived. The lock on the patio door was not the most secure (but we still felt safe there regardless). They ran out of water in the coolers on the first night and it wasn't filled up until mid morning the next day. You could hear noises from outside, however it didn't bother us, we actually enjoyed it because that meant you could hear the waves crashing even with the patio door closed. TIPS: Book directly on the hotel website for a cheaper rate, pay extra for the higher floor, walk 2 minutes down the malecon to go to the restaurant suenos de marfil, the food was amazing, the view is amazing and the waiters were so nice. We also enjoyed la Lomita which is right next door. There is a grocery store (Super Aki) Right across from the square.

We love this place, I stayed here 5 years ago in the 2 bed top floor and was amazing this time 6 of is stayed in the beach house and it was amazing, very central, right off the ferry, great pool with views, full shower, wifi. I sprained my ankle and they helped request an on site doctor. They helped schedule golf carts. Staff is super nice, friendly and fun. Cant wait to stay again next year!

Rocamar Hotel Panorámico – Honest, Relaxing, and the Best Value in Isla Mujeres This was my second stay at Rocamar, and once again it exceeded expectations. What I appreciate most is that the rooms are exactly as shown on Expedia and other booking sites—no misleading photos, no surprises. Every room comes with a balcony overlooking the sea. While the ground‑floor rooms don’t have the most panoramic view, you can still see the ocean and enjoy the natural light. The rooms are spacious, bright, and well equipped with air conditioning, a mini fridge, TV, and safe. Water pressure is strong, hot water is reliable, and the free internet works well. The highlight for me is sleeping with the balcony door open. Forget white‑noise machines—here you fall asleep to the natural sound of waves rolling in. It’s incredibly peaceful and makes the stay unforgettable. Staff are respectful, helpful, and professional. The location couldn’t be more convenient: directly at the end of the street from the port ferry, just a straight 7‑minute walk. You really can’t get lost. In my opinion, Rocamar offers the best value in Isla Mujeres. Honest representation, comfortable rooms, and the unbeatable soundtrack of the ocean right outside your balcony. Highly recommended.
